| ENGINEERING DESIGN |
Trevi design department is involved with the study, research, geotechnical design and civil engineer design either for the Company's activity or for external consultancy entities.
Experienced engineers, modern hardware facilities and internally developed software based on the experience of Trevi group are daily employed to support both the tendering activity and the field works. |
| CIVIL BUILDING |
Most of the buildings, in Lagos and in the other major cities of the country, requiring deep foundations, are based on Trevi Foundations' works.
With the vast range of technologies and equipment available, the company is able to identify the most suitable solution merging together engineering and economic aspects, local and environmental conditions as well as the Client expectations. Deep bored piles and diaphragm walls for UBA, Union Bank, Afribank Churchgate, Aficare buildings in Lagos are especially renowned.
Continuous updating records from the geotechnic laboratory and the Soil Investigation Department and an aged involvements in the different local environments allow the company to better serve its clients with the most advanced and economic solutions. |
POWER STATION, PETROCHEMICAL AND INDUSTRIAL PLANT |
These important projects with the application of strict international standards are usually located in difficult and remote areas and therefore require logistically organised and professionally prepared contractors. Trevi Foundations Nigeria Ltd has been serving, with its own organisation and technologies, the National development working, just to mention the most important projects, in Egbin, Eleme, Soku, NGL Bonny, LNG Bonny and FTIP Forcados.
Total commitment to the projects, respect of the program, skilled workmanship and modem equipment are the corner stones for our presence in this field and the reason for so many acknowledgements by our clients. |
| OIL COMPANY FACILITIES |
All the major Oil Companies operating in Nigeria like NAOC, SPDC, Chevron, Mobil, Elf, Texaco, have been usually entrusting Trevi for the development of their new facilities or their reconditioning plans. Quite often oil and gas facilities are located in difficult environments and heavy logistic supports are fundamental to perform such tasks.
Trevi, with its two logistic bases in Warri and Port Harcourt and its fleet of marine equipment, has been able to extend its presence in many projects and be successfully employed with its piling rigs, civil work teams and complete self-sufficient camp facilities in locations like Tunu, Okupushi, Yanagoa, Kidney Island for SPDC, Eket Terminal for Mobil, Escravos Terminal for Chevron, Brass Terminal for NAOC and many others minors. |
| DAM & HYDROELECTRICAL PLANTS |
The construction of a Dam involves the need for hydraulic sealing treatments both below the same dam or its abutments. Together with the experience as for the specific techniques to be used, the site organisation and the technicians' experience becomes here much more important than in other fields because of the rapids and effective solutions to be often found under not favourable conditions.
Consolidation works require drilling & grouting applications or plastic cut off walls executed with the diaphragm walls or jet grouting techniques. Important dam projects in Nigeria like Suleja, Jibiya(Katsina), Kainji, Pedan (Abuja),Jebba, Tunga (Mambilla) and many others have seen Trevi operate with its teams for the consolidation works over many years. |
MARINE CONSTRUCTION & SHORE PROTECTION WORKS |
One of the field in the civil engeneering where works for specialist contractors like Trevi take on an important percentage of the total project are the maritime works. Design and built project, i.e. jetties, dockyards, bridges, and shore protection are in the track records of Trevi Nigeria and part of the yearly activity.
After the foundation works for the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos, the first maritime work for Trevi in Nigeria, several projects have been completed, among which there are: the NNPC Jetties and coastal defence in Apapa, Lagos, SPDC jetty in Kidney Island, Port Harcourt, coastal defense works at Brass Terminal for NAOC, shore protection works in Forcados for SPDC, Aker and NAOC jetty in Port Harcourt and many others. |
| PRECAST ACTIVITIES |
Starting with foundation piles precasted for piling works, only the precast activity has been developed, over the years, to different extents. Now, with the support of the Design Department, able to find alternative solutions to the constructive methods, the production plants in Lagos and Port Harcourt can produce concrete sheet piles, modular precast elements for jetties, dolphins, and, generally, all the items involved by the modular construction. |
| WATER WELLS |
Because of the ever increasing demand for fresh water, mainly coming from the development of new oil-related areas, a special water well departement was set up to meet the demand in 1994.
Since then, a specially trained and dedicaded drilling team has been established and technically advanced and innovative drilling rigs have been made available to the country. This departement covers design, development and construction activities, offering the most updated know-how and technology for modem drilling requirements. Among the project completed, a special mention should be made to the execution of the entire water scheme in the LNG Project, Bonny Island. |
| SOIL INVESTIGATION & GEOTECHNICAL LABORATORY |
Every civil project requires a proper understanding of the soil characteristics of the whole construction area as well as the detailed knowledge of the underground conditions. TFN has been constantly involved in the soil investigation surveys of all the major projects executed in the country for more than 20 years with its fleet of 20 equipment and the knowledge of a vast experience in the field, also supported by a logistic net of offices and yards.
Onshore or offshore bore holes with sample recovery, standard penetration tests, electrical and mechanical static penetration tests, pressumeter tests and a wide range of in situ tests are performed by Trevi geotechnical department.
Moreover, a modern, fully computerised geotechnical laboratory equipped with the most advanced devices is able to assist, with its output, an already competent capacity in the field. |
